PSA: You’re Kink Is Not Better Than Others
I’m having such a blast divorcing myself from social media, and I haven’t felt this free in a long time. I’ve been doing fun things behind the seams that I haven’t even spoken about except to supporters. Shout out to my growing manxboy enjoyer army. I’ll continue to deliver on the promise to my community to be as ungovernable as possible in this fight against censorship.
I’m proudly pro-fiction, and that also means I am anti-censorship. If you do not hold those views about fictional work, I wish you well but this won’t be the place for you. We need to start being comfortable telling people to see the door if they refuse to engage intellectually in kink spaces.
I suppose when the next purge occurs, we might get it together. But, we’re going into the dark ages instead. lol Some people will really read this and sneer at the idea of lolisho artists, people who enjoy furry, rape, incest, gore, any one of these kinks I mentioned and truly think to themselves they are better than everyone, while not absorbing the lesson.
I recently did an interview with a podcast owned by Cyberhexxx on Baraag, a Mastodon instance on the Fediverse and that was so cool to speak to people who are so passionate about kink and spreading awareness in a time where a lot of normies are stumbling upon us. lol
We went in-depth about taboo kinks, censorship, best practices to avoid it, and site ownership. People can listen to it if they are curious. It’s not for everyone, so pro-ship/pro-fic people are welcome to listen to it!
Quality Lasts, Not Trends
Things are getting crazy on the internet, and I pulled my ejection seat lever a long time ago. Instead of allowing negativity to rule my experience online, I decided to make a place for my supporters and I to interact directly without the noise. That’s always been my goal. So I took time to build them.
My aim as a creator was never to be famous, “marketable”, or to get sponsors… I’ve never had the luxury of that. When I used other platforms, I was limited. I can freely create in a place that doesn’t censor me now, while also catering to the people who are happy to support me! I wanted to make it simple where venture companies made it complex, and folks were ready to support my divorce from Patreon. Now we’re flying to new worlds!
I think about real-life issues that impact my supporters. I couldn’t stand to be part of a platform that actively works against their best interests. The processors are playing favorites on what is and isn’t considered as legal tender over things that are 100% legal, and artists who rely on these sites will not make the changes you want to see. But, they don’t see what’s out here.
I opened MEWNET on May 2024 to the public, so we’re heading into 2026 with high spirits since opening our doors. I’m more amped that people are choosing my site over a mainstream site, and that is huge. I cannot be happier that folks are migrating to an option that doesn’t villify them for what kinks they love or who they choose to support. That’s the message I’m sending by going independent. I take care of my people!
I’ll continue to draw hot art that I enjoy while attracting the audience I want, not the audience the algorithm forces in front of me. I personally wish everyone well in these trying times. I look forward to relying less on social media, and more energy into places I own!
